MR. NORTH CAROLINA A&T CAPTURES MR. HBCU TITLE!!!


Jefferson City, MO- Mr. North Carolina A&T Reginald Johnson was crowed Mr. HBCU 2013-2014 on Saturday, February 23, on the campus of Lincoln University (MO).  The crowning was the culmination of a week’s worth of events during the 9th Annual Mr. HBCU Kings’ Conference and Competition.

Kings, queens and advisors from Bowie State University; Central State University; Delaware State University; Lemoyne-Owen College; North Carolina A&T State University; University of Maryland Eastern Shore; Virginia State University; and Winston-Salem State University participated in workshops and other activities from February 20 through February 23 aimed at advancing their leadership skills.  The group was scheduled to complete a community service project in St. Louis, MO, but was unable to travel from the campus in Jefferson City due to inclement weather.



The Mr. HBCU Kings’ Conference and Competition is held annually in late winter on the campus of Lincoln University.  The conference was founded by Mrs. Benecia Spencer-Williams, who serves as Vice President for University Advancement, Executive Director for the Lincoln University Foundation and Director of Alumni Affairs at Lincoln University (MO).
